Personal stays personal.
The private AI assistant that keeps your life on your machine. It remembers, listens in meetings and gets things done — with any model you choose.
Privacy is in your hands.
Your memories, recordings and notes are stored on your machine either way. You decide where the thinking happens.
Run a local model with Ollama or LM Studio. None of your content leaves your machine, and it works offline.
Guaranteed private.
Connect Claude or another provider with your own key. When it works on something — a chat, a meeting, a memory — that text goes straight to them. No SoPhi servers in between.
Their privacy terms apply. Your call.
What it does
A companion that sits quietly on your desktop until it's useful.
Remembers meetings
Notices when a call starts, keeps live notes, pops up what's meant for you and leaves you a digest when it ends.
- Starts listening when the call does
- Flags what's urgent or meant for you, as it's said
- A digest with decisions and your action items when it ends
Keeps your promises
Say "I'll send the deck to Priya tomorrow" and it offers to add it to your promises. It tracks what others owe you too, and can draft the email. It never sends: you do.
- Catches the promises you make in passing
- Who owes what: you, others, and what SoPhi is on
- Drafts it for you; Open in Mail, then you press send
Gets things done
Goals, schedules, files, the browser and your MCP tools. It asks before acting, and earns more freedom as you trust it.
- Breaks a goal into steps and works through them
- Runs on a schedule, checks in when it's due
- Asks before it acts, until you say it needn't
- MemoryRemembers what matters between chats. See and forget any of it, anytime.
- VoiceTalk to it; speech is transcribed on your machine.
- The orbFloats over your windows and shows what SoPhi is doing: listening, thinking, or waiting on you.
- Your toolsFiles, browser and any MCP server you connect.
- Any modelLocal with Ollama or LM Studio, or your own Claude key.
Don't trust us, read the engine.
Companion is built on SoPhi, an open-source agent harness (Apache 2.0). The engine that handles your memories, plans and tools is public — read it, run it, audit it. Companion itself is a paid, closed app built on top of it.
Pricing announced at launch.
Every licence starts with a 14-day free trial.
Run it against your own model server.
Point Companion at a model your company hosts, and none of your content leaves your company. If your team needs this, tell us what you'd need.
Talk to usQuestions
Which machine do I need?
A computer with Apple Silicon today. For fully local use you'll also need enough memory to run a local model; we'll publish tested minimums at launch.
Which platforms does it run on?
Apple Silicon today. Other systems are coming, one at a time.
What happens after the trial?
The agent pauses until you buy a licence. Your data never locks — it's yours, on your machine.
Is it really offline?
Yes, with a local model. Apart from that, it connects just for first-time downloads of the voice and browser tools, an update check that sends the app version, and the licence check.
Is Companion open source?
The engine is open source; the app is a paid, closed product.
